Jakob Hübert is an independent German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) specialising in complex commercial disputes and international arbitration. He spent a decade at leading law firms in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf before establishing his own practice, representing clients in high-value state court and arbitral proceedings.

Alongside his legal practice, Jakob heads the Germany & Nordics market at Nivalion AG and is Head of Insurance at Nivalion's German subsidiary, Nivalion Alternative Risk Solutions. In these roles he assesses litigation risks and presents them to investors for funding and insurers for risk coverage. I assess every matter the way a risk underwriter would. The first question is always whether the claim can be enforced and money actually recovered.

Exequatur and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, asset identification, provisional attachment (Arrest) and garnishment of bank accounts and receivables. Defence against enforcement.

German Counsel in Arbitration
